As a mother to little ones, I'm constantly thinking about this. The importance of knowing and hearing your own voice in your head, before it's the LLM version. What a wonderful perspective, thank you Masuma!
While everything AI is a buzz in every aspect of our lives, the interactions with it are not really that apart from our conversations with ourselves, in many cases we now are seeing a objective third person way of looking into our conversations with ourselves! We are still humans and we are always in conversation... I have been reviewing the nature of these dialogues and studying the cultural overtones, how we write about our interactions and acknowledge the new voice in our lives.. but is it new?

Loved reading this! One of the more nuanced essays I’ve read on AI in a long time. Thanks!
Thank you! I hope if we start having different conversations about technology’s impact, we’ll also start building more technology that serves us all!
